SAFE Comprehensive Fundamentals of Mortgage Education Study Guide and Practice Exam Test
The SAFE Act requires state-licensed Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) to pass a written qualified test developed by the NMLS and administered by an approved test provider. The SAFE Act Test includes two components: a National Component and an Unique State Component. A MLO wishing to satisfy the SAFE Act Test requirements for licensure in any given state or jurisdiction, must pass each component with a test score of not less than 75 percent correct answers to questions.

Test administration fee for the National Component SAFE Act Mortgage Loan Originator Test is $92.00.
Candidates have 4 attempts to pass the test with at least 30 days between each retake. If the candidate fails the 4th attempt at taking the exam, a period of 6 months must pass before a 5th attempt at passing the exam is granted.
